Street Dance for young people in Barne Barton
The Art of Street Dance

We run two street dance sessions on Wednesday afternoons at Tamar View Resource Centre in Barne Barton.

Our first session runs from 3.30pm to 4.30pm and is for 5-10-year-olds.

Our second session runs from 4.45pm to 5.45pm for 11-17-year-olds.

Both sessions cost 1 per week and are delivered by professional dance teacher, Hannah Stokes. We do, however, offer the first session for free for those who wish to try it out.

So if you are interested in street dance or wish to try something new, come along to the session for your age group and give it a go. The emphasis is on having fun and enjoying yourself and there is no pressure to attend each week - you come when you are free.

All you have to do is turn up and sign up on the day. It's open to both males and females.

Barne Barton Junior Rangers Football Club
Barne Barton Junior Rangers Football Club

Barne Barton Junior Rangers Football Club provides opportunities to play football against other local teams for 6-10-year-olds. We currently run an u8s and and u10s team.

The club has been running for three seasons now and is going from strength the strength thanks to the dedication of several volunteers.

The teams train on a Tuesday afternoon from 4pm to 5pm on the playing field at Estuary Way, Barne Barton and they play games on Saturday mornings either at Riverside School or at other venues across the city.

We also provide scholarships for three players each year to access the Pro Direct Soccer Academy which is run by Alan Weeks. In return, Alan coaches our youngest players on a Tuesday. We currently have three players at Pro Direct and one of these has been scouted by Chelsea Football Club and is currently an active member of their local Development Centre.

If you wish to sign up, come along to training or give us a call for more details.

Introduction to Muay Thia Kickboxing Barne Barton
Muay Thai Kickboxing Club

This session aims to build fundamental skills and disciplines that can help a young person face the challenges that life may throw at them. It will take young people on a journey of self-discovery and will help to build character and resilience so they can make positive changes in their life.

The introduction course lasts six months and you can join at any time. It is delivered by respected and qualified Muay Thai Kickboxing instructors. It costs 1 per session.

From here, a young person can progress to full club membership if they desire and this will enable them to travel to other clubs, spar with other young people and develop the skills necessary to compete.

PLEASE NOTE: We are NOT teaching young people to fight and take this out onto the streets. If at any point a participant uses the skills they learn at the session outside of the session, they will be removed and no longer allowed to attend.

For further details, please contact Don or Abbi on 07464 873905 or muaythaifitness@outlook.com and they'll happily help.
